Anxiety and Depression Therapy in Midtown Manhattan
Anxiety and depression can affect both how a person feels inside and how they function in daily life.
Some people experience anxiety as constant overthinking, tension, worry, panic, difficulty sleeping, or feeling unable to settle. Depression may show up as low mood, loss of motivation, irritability, withdrawal, numbness, hopelessness, or difficulty finding pleasure and meaning.
I work with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, mood changes, relationship difficulties, family conflict, work pressure, and major life transitions. Therapy can help create space to understand what is happening internally, identify emotional patterns, and begin to relate to yourself and others with more clarity.
My approach often combines psychodynamic psychotherapy, mindfulness-based work, and evidence-based methods when helpful. Some people need practical tools for managing symptoms, while others need to understand the deeper conflicts, losses, fears, or relational patterns beneath the symptoms.
Therapy is not only about reducing distress. It is also about understanding the life you are living, the patterns that keep repeating, and the parts of yourself that may need more attention, compassion, and room to develop.
I offer in-person therapy in Midtown Manhattan near Grand Central, as well as virtual sessions for patients located in New York.
